Andy Ernesto Vázquez Toirac

Popular comedian of Cuban television. Actor in the popular television program "Vivir del Cuento" where he plays the characters Facundo Correcto- Ángel Bueno (Aguaje) and Bienvenido Blanco Blanco. The actor enjoys great popularity among the Cuban public, due to his versatility, as he plays very different roles.

Andy has held multiple jobs and attended numerous schools in his native Guantánamo. His mother was director of those educational centers and when she was transferred, she took her son with her.

He studied Civil Construction and took his first steps with the arrival of Artistic Education as a subject at school, joining the Theater program.

He began acting at a very young age. His first approach to television was at just 14 years old, with a role in the telenovela "Prefiero las rosas" by Raúl Pérez Sánchez.

After his television debut he participated in other programs such as "Tras la huella", "Jura decir la verdad" and "No quiero llanto", in which he appeared sporadically. He also did comedy in theater with the group Onondivepa, directed by Alfredo Oliva, where he met Baudilio Espinosa, a master of theatrical humor.

Participating as a judge on the humorous program "Los amigos de Pepito" he meets Ignacio Hernández (Nachy), director of the program and "Vivir del Cuento", and he tells Luis Silva that he wasn't doing anything on the professional front and had seen that diverse characters always appeared in the sketches and that he was interested in joining the program.

Andy gradually worked his way in, until he settled into the three roles already mentioned, Facundo-Correcto, Aguaje and Bienvenido. Thus, he had small appearances on the small screen with occasional roles, but without being part of the program's roster. It was when the character of Indira, played by Olivia Manrufo, left the program, that he became part of the cast.

The success of this man —with completely empirical training— is not only in his ability as an actor, but also in the heterogeneity of his characters, which are sometimes completely antagonistic —Facundo Correcto represents an apparent version of law and order, while Aguaje represents corruption and marginality.

In December 2019, after publishing on Facebook a satirical video about the inauguration of the Cuatro Caminos market in Havana in November 2019, officials on the island accused him of "the Miami mafia was paying him for a video" about what happened at the Cuatro Caminos market. In the video, Las Chivaterías de Facundo, the actor jokingly referred to the lack of discipline among Cubans regarding the opening of the building. The video by Facundo, which has more than 100,000 followers on his social networks, had a great impact in Cuba and South Florida.

Andy expressed "They suspend my contract. They tell me: your contract will no longer be renewed. I never received any written sanctions". After these measures taken by Cuban television, Andy decided to relocate to the United States at the beginning of 2020.
