Actor and comic tenor.
He was part of Lydia de Rivera's quartet in 1957.
He made his debut in 1958 in the Spanish zarzuela company Aguilá-Martelo.
He performed in Carlos Pous's company; he was part of the cast of the Lecuona Festivals, Auditorium theater (1959).
In 1968 he joined the National Lyric Theater of Cuba. He achieved notable success with his interpretation of the leading role Lamparilla in the zarzuela El barberillo de Lavapiés (1990, dir. Fernández Montesinos), in co-production with the Teatro de la Zarzuela, of Madrid.
He also worked for the Musical Theater of Havana —My Fair Lady (1981); Pedro Navaja (1983); Maestra vida (1987)— and the Rita Montaner group —La querida de enramada, 1992—.
He died in Barcelona, Spain on May 16, 1994.
