Aly Sánchez

Cuban actress, model and presenter based in Miami known for her work in television and social media. She is one of the recurring Cuban faces on television thanks to her participation in programs on Univision and América Tevé (Channel 41).

Aly Sánchez was born in Banao, a town in the mountainous area of central Cuba known as the Escambray, belonging to the province of Sancti Spíritus.

From a young age she had an inclination toward the arts although she found it difficult to believe she could materialize her dream. Her first approach to acting was imitating (dubbing) singers like Selena or Ana Gabriel through her affiliation with the Casa de la Cultura of her hometown.​

At 17 years old she moved to Havana to study at the Instituto Superior de Arte (ISA). After graduating from ISA she had television appearances on the island in humorous programs such as Sabadazo, Se me ocurrió el sábado and Punto G. She was also part of the cast of the telenovela Historias de Fuego broadcast in 2006.​

In 2007 she settled in the United States, where she continued her career successfully interpreting characters in Necesito una amiga, Sábado Gigante, Alma indomable the latter a Venevisión telenovela.​

Aly Sánchez has done theater, taking on characters in works such as "Oficialmente gay", "Probation", "Las Habaneras de Hoyo Colorao", "Chamacos", "Weekend en Bahía" and "Una arriba, una abajo y otra al centro".​

As a presenter, her participation in Teikirisi is remembered, an entertainment show in which she stood out as a communicator. She currently hosts her own show Tu break con Aly​.

Comedian
Moving into this genre was a somewhat casual turn in her career. In Cuba she had been part of formats like Sabadazo with Carlos Otero and Pateando la lata but had not been directly involved in making people laugh. Her first real experience as a comedian is linked to América TeVé, where she had her first character La Bloguera de Banao. A Cuban country woman inspired by her grandmother María with which she was able to narrate memories of her childhood and youth.​

Associated with comedy are her popular characters, thanks to her presence in formats such as TN3 on América TeVé or the show Las Cazafortunas.​ Her signature character is Migdalia Rondón, born on the television program TN3. She has also created other recognized characters such as Ordenia and Obdececio.

Personal Life
She has two daughters, Sophia and Sarah Marie, from her relationship with her husband Roberto Balmaseda.
