Yasbell Rodríguez Valdés

Actress and presenter with experience in radio and television. Among her main works are dramatized segments and participation spaces on Cuban television such as the telenovela En fin, el mar or the show Sonando en Cuba. Her professional experience extends to Peru where she worked for Radio Zona 5 and América Televisión as a leader of programs such as Chiclayo Construye and the magazine Entre Gente.

Her beginnings were centered on dance. From age 4 she was involved with Spanish dance at the Gran Teatro de la Habana and later at the Ballet Teatro school of Tony Menéndez.

She took her first steps in acting at age eight in the work Cucarachita Martina with La Colmenita directed by Carlos Alberto Cremata and made her television debut with the series Memorias de un Abuelo coinciding with a generation of actors with extensive careers in our time such as: Caleb Casas, Ebblis Valdivia or Yanay Penalva.

In 2003 she graduated from the intermediate level of Performing Arts at the Escuela Nacional de Artes (ENA) with the Grupo de Teatro de la Luna, directed by Raúl Martín.

Yasbell Rodríguez is recognized for her work as an announcer and host with participation in television programs such as Súper Doce, Somos Multitud, Fresquecito.com, Se Baila Así, En la vía de verano, Sin Límite. In parallel, she has developed projects for radio and variety shows in different cabarets and nightclubs. She worked on Mezcla, from Radio Metropolitana, a program that —according to the actress herself— enriched her greatly.

Between 2011 and 2016 she was based in Peru and worked for Radio Zona 5 and América Televisión as a leader of the magazine Entre Gentes and the program Chiclayo Construye.

More recently she has been linked to the presentation of the talent show Sonando en Cuba, San Remo Music Awards and in Pa que Suenes, a preview of this format.

Today many brands hire her to promote their products, among them Havana Club and the Gaya store.

She played the character of nurse Norma Monroy in the telenovela Tú under the direction of Lester Hamlet.
