Cuban actress and influencer Aly Sánchez has been named co-host of Univision's daily program, "El News Café", the television network announced this Tuesday.

"Aly joins Alberto Sardiñas on weekday mornings from 7 am to 8 am on UniMás 69 and weekday afternoons from 1 pm to 2 pm on WLTV, Univision 23", the statement indicates.

"Aly Sánchez is a prolific influencer on social media and an attractive actress and presenter who offers versatility and great talent. We know that Aly will be loved by our audience and we are excited to see Aly and Alberto elevate 'El News Café'", said Claudia Puig, president and general manager of Univision Miami.

The Cuban had previously worked on Univision's highest-rated entertainment program, "Sábado Gigante". She also participated in the telenovelas "Necesito una Amiga" and "Alma Indomable", from Venevisión. However, she became known on Miami television at América TeVé, where she played several of the channel's most popular characters.

Now the beloved actress is starting a new chapter in her career. "El News Café" is the original news and magazine-style program from South Florida hosted by Alberto Sardiñas for the past 4 years. "The hosts conduct fun and insightful conversations centered on current events, news headlines, expert advice, humor and lots of useful tips for viewers".

After leaving América TeVé, Aly had been focused on her career as an influencer. She started a solo show that she had to suspend due to the stress it caused her.

She also joined Cuban YouTuber Camila Guiribitey in the program "Aly and Mila", whose goal was to surprise and help people in need.

Aly Sánchez is 35 years old and is from Banao, a small town in the province of Sancti Spíritus.

She graduated with a degree in acting from the University of the Arts in Cuba and in 2007 emigrated to the United States. In Miami she met Roberto Balmaseda through friends and since then they have built a beautiful family together.

The couple married at the beginning of last month in a ceremony that was broadcast live on Aly's social media.

"For me there is not, nor will there ever be, anyone as beautiful as you. I greatly admire what you do. I was always more sure of you than you were. I promise you more love and experiences together. I promise to make you happy", her husband told her during the ceremony.

Together they have two daughters: Sophia and Sarah Marie Balmaseda, although on several occasions they have said they will try for a boy.

Roberto has been Aly's producer for years, and he promotes many local businesses on her social media and shares moments of her private life with family and friends.

The actress also performs live shows with her colleague Zajaris Fernández and keeps her popular character Migdalia Rondón alive.
