Sergio Ernesto Buitrago Mayedo

Outstanding Cuban actor, graduate of the Instituto Superior de Arte. Known in Cuba for his work in different audiovisual media.

He began his training as an actor in the "Olga Alonso" Amateur Theater Group, under the direction of master Humberto Rodríguez García.

In 2001 he started his studies at the Escuela Nacional de Arte, from which he graduated in 2005. That same year he joined the El Público Theater Group, where he made his debut playing the character Fred in "The Respectful Prostitute". His participation in the company has been continuous since then. He has worked in important theatrical productions directed by Carlos Díaz, such as "Phaedra" and "Twelfth Night". In 2012 he graduated from the Theater Arts degree program at the Instituto Superior de Arte. He has been part of notable television projects such as "Historias de Fuego", where he played the character Ricardo, —thanks to which he has been greatly remembered by the public— and also the youth series "Adrenalina 360". He has also ventured into film in movies such as "The Immobile Traveler" and "Leontina".
