Many will surely remember Cuban actor Sergio Buitrago for two of his television roles: Ricardo in the telenovela Historias de fuego, and Tony in Adrenalina 360.

However, for more than 10 years the Cuban has disappeared from screens on the Island and moved somewhat away from acting. Since that time, he has been living in Spain and from there comes with good news.

It is his participation in the Spanish series Segunda Muerte. It is a thriller on the Movistar Plus+ platform, which features Spanish actors Karra Elejalde (Ocho apellidos vascos) and Georgina Amorós (Élite).

According to an interview that Sergio Buitrago gave to the Cubaactores platform, in this Spanish series, initially "he participated in five of the six chapters of the series, but, due to duration issues, it was transformed into a single chapter, that is, he appears in only one chapter".

Despite that reduction in his time on the series, the Cuban actor celebrated "the opportunity, the learning, the happy experience, my colleagues… In short, being part of something that makes me feel proud of a collective, of a dream".

And it is that, as Sergio Buitrago confessed, when he arrived in Spain he never thought about dedicating himself to acting in that country. "When I arrived, I didn't even dare to dream about dedicating myself to acting here. So I had to do something. I was a membership recruiter for NGOs, a waiter, a Master's student and a teacher. Providentially, I have never been completely disconnected from my art".

Similarly, now the actor does not rule out the idea of dedicating himself to acting in Iberian lands. "Here I have had to start from scratch and I am still in the initial phase. Learning and improving is for a lifetime. Making a living as an actor in Spain is not easy, I think it's not easy anywhere, but now I have no doubts or fears," he said.
