Rolando Javier Tarajano Mancha

Recognized actor and stage director. Member of the island's artistic avant-garde in the nineties.

Born in Matanzas, Cuba. Graduate in Performing Arts with a specialization in Acting from the Instituto Superior de Artes Dramáticas de La Habana.

In 1991 he created and directed his own company, Teatro en las Nubes, which became a landmark of the Cuban stage during that decade. He has done theatrical work and has worked in films such as Autopista and Caravana.

His television appearances stand out in El eco de las piedras, Sin perder la ternura and Entre mamparas.

His theatrical work Huevos de pájaros won the National Dramaturgy Prize in 1997. The staging under his direction and performance was a success of the Teatro Nacional de Cuba's season that same year. As an actor he worked in several countries and venues, including the Teatro Nacional de Chaillot in Paris, under the direction of European stage master Jerome de Savary.

In 1998 he is hired by Colombian television and emigrates with his family to Bogotá. His high level of interpretation in various and memorable roles places him as one of the most prominent actors recognized by the public, with clear international projection.

In Colombia for several years carrying out major productions that have given him satisfaction and experience to continue bearing fruit in acting.
