Lis Vega
Her family is made up of her father Lázaro Vega, her mother Martha Elena Gálvez (who divorced when she was only 10 years old) and her sister Lieska Vega Gálvez. With whom she says she maintains a good relationship in general, although at present she has an obvious distance due to the fact that her family is residing in La Habana and she is working in Mexico.
On September 27, 1991, Lis began her activities as a dancer in a dance group named Fantasía, with dancer Ernesto Suárez also directing the same project.
In 1991, she participated in the Castillito shows, which was a show at the City May nightclub disco, within the scientific forum in the Unaic and as well as in the amateur festival in the red berets regiment. In the following years she would participate in different cultural activities.
Liz focused her studies for just over three years on dance and modern dance. At the end of them she traveled to Mexico in 1997, where she caught the attention of several Mexican producers such as Eugenio Derbez, Guillermo del Bosque and Juan Osorio (producers at Televisa), among others, who would give her her first opportunities in the Mexican entertainment industry.
In 2001 she had a special appearance on the program Otro Rollo, hosted by Adal Ramones and also won third place in a bodybuilding competition in Mexico. In 2002 she competed to appear in the Mexican version of Playboy magazine and came out as the winner.
It was this exposure that caught the attention of producer Juan Osorio, with whom she recorded the home video "Mi Verdad" with which she would begin a career in the world of Mexican telenovelas.
The home video "Mi verdad" (in which she played actress Niurka Marcos) and her Playboy cover have been the 2 projects she considers most important in her career.
In 2005 she entered the Big Brother house in its VIP version (which is nothing but the version of actors and/or public personalities), where upon her exit several job offers were waiting for her, including a role in the telenovela "Contra viento y marea", directed by Nicandro Díaz.
In 2006 she participated in the telenovela "Duelo de pasiones" where she played Coral. This year she also participates in the Mexican version of Bailando por la boda de mis sueños (México).
In 2008 she joined the telenovela Tormenta en el paraíso.
In 2010 she entered the "Second World Dance Championship" representing Mexico alongside Luis David de los Ángeles in the fourth week of the program's broadcast, replacing former contestant Alessandra Rosaldo, who suffered an accident in the "Dance in the Rain", which prevented her from continuing in the program.
In 2012 Producer Eduardo Paz named her one of the protagonists of the musical "Que rico mambo" alongside Maribel Guardia, Niurka Marcos and Malillany Marin.
In 2008 she married Uruguayan actor and model Federico Díaz, from whom she separated after a few months. Díaz made his homosexuality public in 2014. Lis Vega, in a statement on Instagram, showed her full support for her ex-husband.
