Larisa Gil Vega

Cuban actress in film, theater, and television.

She studied ballet and after completing her high school education, she pursued studies at the Instituto Superior de Arte where she graduated in 1988 with a degree in Performing Arts with a specialization in Acting.

While studying, she participated in several works by the Teatro de Participación Popular directed by Herminia Sánchez. Upon graduating, she began working with the theater group Zafarrancho, where she performed in works such as Terror y miseria en el Tercer Reich by Bertolt Brecht and Las mil y una noches guajiras and El elefante blanco under the direction of Miguel Lucero.

She has developed a prolific career in television: multiple telenovelas, teleplays, series, and even children's programs have featured her performances, among which Magdalena, Retablo personal, Café Habana, and Reencuentro stand out.

Her first work in film was, while still a student, in Tiempo de Amar directed by Enrique Pineda Barnet.
