Jonathan Charón

Jonathan Charón is a Cuban judoka from Guantánamo, competing in the -60 kilogram category. Trained through Cuba's elite sports system, he represents the national team at continental and world-level competitions.

In 2025, he earned his first World Judo Tour medal at an event in Georgia. On April 19, 2026, he claimed gold at the Pan American Senior Judo Championship in Panama City, defeating junior world number one Jonathan Yang (USA) in the final. The victory cements his standing among the continent's top lightweights.
