Fernando Dayán is a Cuban athlete who competes in the sport of canoeing, also called kayaking or Kayak in the calm waters modality. Olympic champion. Multi-medalist in world championships.
He participated in two Summer Olympic Games in 2016 and 2020, obtaining a gold medal in Tokyo 2020 in the C2 1000 m event (alongside Serguey Torres Madrigal). At the 2019 Pan American Games he won two medals.
He won six medals at the World Canoeing Championship between 2017 and 2021.
In March 2022 he abandoned the Cuban delegation of his specialty in Mexico City.
