Heidy González Quesada

Heydy González is today among the most sought-after young actresses in the national scene. Her physical beauty has certainly been worth much when it comes to finding leading roles within Cuban audiovisuals; however, allowing oneself to be seduced by the charms of her appearance can be extremely misleading.

Behind that facade of a sexy girl hides a dedicated actress who spent her childhood and adolescence doing what she always liked to do: act.

Fortunately for her, Heydy found, with a little push from her mother, her vocation at an early age. At only four years old, in Ciudad Libertad, where the Story Festival was celebrated every year, her mom would take her to participate. Until ninth grade she was participating in these encounters. In addition, she studied theater and dance at the Vocational School of Art.

She graduated in theater from the National School of Art (ENA) and completed her social service with the group "Aries".

Later she enters the Department of Artistic Talent at television, where she makes her first telenovela, 'Portrait of a Woman', under the direction of Paco Anca. Later, a co-starring role in a teleplay titled "Recuerdos de Tulipa", directed by "Chino" Chiong, which also featured a stellar cast.

In reality, the novel that made her known is "Destino Prohibido", and popularity came, without a doubt, with the character of nurse in "Punto G", which was on screen for three years.

She has also worked in the children's series "What Does It Eat? What Does It Say?", which has some similarity to "Claro, Clarita". There she has the leading role, as the mother of a five-year-old boy. The story develops inside and outside the mouth of the child, interchangeably. The characters are very likable and are represented mostly by young graduates of the ENA.
