Daniela Tapia Curbelo

He arrived in Colombia at the age of 5, accompanied by his parents; Ernesto Tapia, who is also an actor; and Anita Curbelo, a classical ballet dancer, actress and film director, who were hired to work as artists in Colombia.

At the age of 11 he returned to La Habana, Cuba, to pursue acting studies, training with the prestigious teacher of great Cuban actors Humberto Rodríguez, where Jorge Perugorria, Corina Mestre, Barbaro Marin and many others also studied, performing several theater works with his Olga Alonso group, studying at the ENA theater ensemble with various workshops in dance, voice acting and body expression. In Spain he studied for a year at Cristina Rota's school and attended Clown workshops.

In 1995 he made his first appearance on Colombian television, in the series Reparador de sueños, broadcast by the regional channel Telepacífico, under the direction of his mother.

During his stay in Cuba, where he studied theater, he participated in countless theatrical works, gaining great experience in this field. Between 2001 and 2005, in La Habana, he participated in the theatrical productions 'Santa Camila de La Habana Vieja', 'Réquiem por Yarini', 'María Antonia', 'Un tranvía llamado deseo', 'La Moira', 'Contigo pan y cebolla', 'Romeo y Julieta', 'Hamlet', 'Mambrú se fue a la guerra' and 'Andoba', all of them under the direction of Humberto Rodríguez of the Olga Alonso Group at the Teatro Olga Alonso.

In 2006 he returned to Colombian television, performing roles in series such as "Tentaciones" and "Padres e Hijos" which he starred in for a time, broadcast in non-prime time slots, but produced and broadcast by the Caracol channel (one of the most important in Colombia and, along with Canal RCN, the fiercest competition to Mexican channels Televisa and TV Azteca in the production and sale of telenovelas in Latin America and the United States), which allowed him to become known not only at the national level but also internationally.

His most well-known roles are Damaris in Padres e Hijos, Dulce Elena in Madre Luna which he starred in alongside Amparo Grisales and Ana Lucía Domínguez and Gervasia in Doña Bárbara, alongside Mexican Edith González, although he has also participated in several other internationally successful productions.
