Cuban actress Daniela Tapia, who was visiting Israel when the war began, managed to reunite with her family.
In an emotional video shared on her social networks, the young woman showed images of the moment. "When my mom saw me she started screaming," she said.
"I want to thank enormously the support I have received from so many people... What I experienced has been very intense, I cried a lot, it has been very hard. Feeling human pain is something that affects me greatly," she commented in her Instagram stories.
"I thank God and life for allowing me to be with my family today. The only plane that left yesterday for the United States was the one I took. I was fortunate to board that plane. Thank you God for your protection," she added.
This past weekend, from the shelter of a bunker in a house where she was taking refuge with a family, Daniela shared her anguishing experience through two videos in her Instagram stories, informing her followers about the difficult situation she was living through.
"Hard, hard, in my life I had never heard bombs. Going out to a terrace and hearing the sound of bombs and how they fall so hard. I'm in a house with a family, with children, and there's a bunker that protects us. I only ask God to get out and be with my family," she expressed.
In another video, Daniela stated that she was in a state of shock due to the situation: "I woke up at eight in the morning with bombs, you don't know what it's like to wake up and feel... (tries to recreate the sensation of bombs falling). I only ask God to be able to take my flight. Look it up on the internet, the State of Israel entered war today, red alert, everyone is trying to leave the country, war, they are at war, it starts today and I'm here."
On her social networks, the artist had been sharing wonderful images of her visit to Israel, exploring some of its most emblematic places. However, the tranquility of her tourist trip was abruptly interrupted by the start of a surprise attack with the launching of rockets and the infiltration of Palestinian militiamen into Israeli territory.
Daniela Tapia was on vacation in Israel when the bombings carried out by the extremist group Hamas occurred on October 7th.
The 36-year-old young woman and daughter of renowned Cuban actor Ernesto Tapia, had to take shelter with a family in a house protected by a bunker, where she remained for hours.
The actress, who in Cuba was part of the Olga Alonso theater group, continued developing her career in Colombia, where she lived for several years.
She has been part of the cast of popular soap operas such as Doña Bárbara, Victoria and Madre Luna; as well as the series Betty in New York, Telemundo's version of the famous Betty La Fea.
