Cuban actor William Levy is going through a moment of stability and enthusiasm. After overcoming a year of personal and professional ups and downs, he returns to the screen with Camino a Arcadia, a series he co-stars in alongside Paula Echevarría and Michelle Renaud, which premiered this Friday on the VIX platform.
Levy, who arrived in Miami at age 16 with his mother and sister, assures that he is living "a stage of peace" after filming two movies and a series in Spain and Italy. He acknowledges that Europe gave him a warm welcome at a key moment in his life. "There's no doubt that Miami is my home because my children are here, but Europe and its people embraced me at one of the most difficult moments," he commented.
The production, filmed in Tenerife, tells the story of a man who lives 15 years under a false identity to escape threats stemming from his brother's betrayal. The actor assures that this role had a cathartic effect, helping him process his own experiences. "They supported me greatly during filming, it was very special work," he highlighted.
The theme of parenthood is central to both the series and Levy's life. "My children are at their best moment. Christopher, 19 years old, is focused on baseball, and Kailey, 15, on acting," he explained.
This romantic thriller is his second project in the Canary Islands, after the movie Bajo un volcán, released this year in Spain. Furthermore, Camino a Arcadia is his second series as a producer in Spanish territory, after Montecristo.
Levy is also preparing for the launch of Tradita in 2026, his first film as lead actor in Italy, directed by Gabriele Altobelli, where he will act in Spanish and Italian. "It's like a 'European era' for me," he joked.
After years trying to make his way in Hollywood, he decided to focus his career toward Europe and his own projects, moving away from stereotypes that, according to him, limited his projection in the American industry. "It was difficult dealing with being told I was too blonde to be Latino, or too tall, or the accent," he recalled.
In April 2025, Levy faced a legal episode that led him to spend a night arrested in a Miami jail, later resolved with community service. In parallel, his separation from Elizabeth Gutiérrez is progressing more peacefully, with whom he put their house up for sale for more than seven million dollars.
"I'm a very emotionally vulnerable person, and things that happen around me affect me more than normal. That happens to me because I always give myself one hundred percent," he confessed.
About to turn 45 on August 29, he assures that he is leaving difficulties behind: "I think I've already gone through that stage. Now I'm super calm."
With a full agenda and the freedom to choose projects that inspire him, William Levy faces this new stage convinced that the best is yet to come.

William Gutiérrez Levy was born and raised in Cuba, and shortly before turning fifteen, he emigrated to the United States of America because his stepfather obtained political asylum and was able to bring his family from Cuba. He studied acting in Miami, Los Angeles, and Mexico. While studying in secondary school, he excelled in baseball practice, which allowed him to obtain a scholarship to attend university.
