Cuban beach volleyball duo Eblis Veranes and Damián Gómez Limonta won the bronze medal at the sixth stop of the 2026 NORCECA Beach Volleyball Tour, held on June 21–22 at the beach of Juan Dolio, Dominican Republic.

The young pair from Guantánamo advanced through the elimination rounds before falling to Mexicans Inés Antonio Lares and Carlos Andrés Ayala — the season's dominant team with four gold medals — in the semifinals, losing 21-18 and 23-21. In the bronze medal match, Veranes and Gómez bounced back strongly to defeat Canadians Rouzbeh Rahvanard and Robert Kemp in straight sets: 25-23 and 21-18.

The result marks the Cuban duo's third medal of the 2026 NORCECA season, having previously claimed silver medals at the Güibía and Mexico stops. It is also their second consecutive podium finish in tournaments held in the Dominican Republic.

The men's final was won by Mexico, as Lares and Ayala defeated Americans Lev Priima and Diego Pérez 2-1 (21-18, 17-21, 15-9) to claim their fourth gold medal of the season.

Eblis Veranes and Damián Gómez, both from Guantánamo, continue to establish themselves as one of the most promising young beach volleyball duos in Cuba and the Caribbean region, with their sights set on the 2027 Lima Pan American Games, for which the NORCECA circuit serves as a qualifying competition.
