The Cuban government banned the return to the country of a national journalist who recently completed her university studies in Costa Rica and who was stranded this Thursday (18.03.2021) at Panama's airport by Havana's veto.
Cuban journalist Karla Pérez reported that in the coming hours she will return to Costa Rica from Panama, where she arrived this Thursday in transit to her country and where she was informed of the prohibition to enter the island.
Pérez explained to EFE that she left Costa Rica this Thursday, after studying there for four years, with the intention of returning to her country and with "all her papers in order, reviewed by the Cuban embassy in San José, and even with the test, with a negative COVID-19 result".
