On April 16th, the artist turned 42 years old with the best wishes from his family, friends and his approximately 100 thousand social media fans.
Born in Sancti Spíritus, Ebblis became a recognizable face after his appearance in the Cuban adventures "Memorias de un abuelo". However, his fame grew thanks to his insertion as a singer in the popular dance music orchestra Charanga Habanera.
In 2004 he joined with his brother Kelly Valdivia to create a band Boni & Kelly. The duo enjoyed great acceptance among Cuban and international audiences.
In 2007 they released the album "La vida es", which was well received in countries such as Spain, Panama, Venezuela, Dominican Republic and Mexico.
His big entrance into the music scene came singing with the orchestra Klimax, led by maestro Giraldo Piloto, one of the most acclaimed and recognized for its innovative and experimental sound. With Klimax he participated in the recording of the Latin jazz album Klimax & Friends, in 2002, and also had the opportunity to work alongside Cuban pianist Chucho Valdés.
After some time, he joined the famous Charanga Habanera of David Calzado, with which his fame was definitely established. With this orchestra Ebblis performed the song "El Boni", authored by David Calzado, and the success of this dance piece was such that from then on the public christened him "El Boni", a nickname by which he is known in Cuba and in several regions of the world. With La Charanga Habanera he performed multiple tours throughout Europe, South America and Asia, and recorded the albums "Soy cubano, soy popular" and "Charanga Light".
Later he would join with his also talented brother Kelly Valdivia, as "Boni & Kelly", succeeding with the CD "Fanática". In 2014, they premiered the song "Fuera de cobertura" in Cuba.
After seven years of artistic career in Mexico and Spain, Boni and Kelly returned to the Island with the purpose of reconnecting with fans from their homeland.
Recently, El Boni premiered a new musical theme from his YouTube channel alongside El Kimiko and Yordy. The music video is titled El Culpable and features the participation of model Amanda Diaz Rojas, with whom Ebblis shares his personal life.
