Jean Carlos Canela in action comedy on Netflix

The Cuban is a sexy police officer in one of the most-watched action comedies on Netflix right now.

"From Toronto", from Sony Pictures, starring Kevin Hart and Woody Harrelson, in which Kaley Cuoco and Melanie Liburd also participate.

The film revolves around a case of mistaken identity after the world's deadliest assassin, known as the "man from Toronto", and a stranger, played by Hart, meet at an Airbnb. As soon as the assassin's world crumbles over Hart, chaos ensues.

Patrick Hughes, who directed the action comedy "The Hitman's Bodyguard", with Ryan Reynolds and Samuel L. Jackson in 2017, was the one who directed this fun film. Robbie Fox and Chris Bremner wrote the screenplay based on a story conceived with Jason Blumenthal. The film came to theaters in September 2021.

Canela also starred in "The Expanding Universe of Ashley García", produced by Netflix. His other credits include the NBC comedy Telenovela, starring Eva Longoria; "The Grand Hotel", also starring Longoria, and the musical "The Pasion", which aired on FOX.

In the film, Cuban Jencarlos Canela is Agent Santoro, a sexy police officer who will watch the back of one of the protagonists' wife. The music of the Cuban group Orishas also stands out in the film being shown these days, and specifically, the song "Yo nací Orishas". Furthermore, the film includes more than one wink to Cubanness in the United States.
