Cuban singer Idania Valdés, one of the voices of the Buena Vista Social Club for nearly two decades, will debut her solo project "Más Allá del Club Social" in Brazil, Estado de Minas and Cenapop reported. The tour has four dates: November 19 at the Hard Rock Café in Curitiba, November 20 at Blue Note São Paulo, and November 21 and 22 at Espaço 373 in Porto Alegre.

The roughly 90-minute show features Yoyi Lagarza on piano, Gustavo Martínez on double bass and Alexis Damián on percussion. The set list includes Buena Vista classics such as "Dos gardenias," "Veinte años" and "Chan Chan," Latin American standards, and two nods to Brazil: "Retrato em branco e preto" and "Você abusou."

"This tour of Brazil is very moving for me, because I'm returning to the country and the cities that welcomed me for so many years with the Buena Vista Social Club, but this time with my own vision of Cuban music," Valdés said. She remains a member of the Buena Vista Social Club, and her Brazil dates come ahead of a 31-show tour by the Buena Vista Social Orchestra there between April and June 2027.
