According to the official site of the event, the six goals by the Caribbean forward registered in victories over Saint Vincent and the Grenadines (3-0) and against the British Virgin Islands (14-0) place her at the forefront of the qualifying round's top scorers, heading toward the FIFA Women's World Cup Australia and New Zealand 2023 and the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

Before her fans, the Cuban player scored her first goal in the victory against Saint Vincent and the Grenadines on February 16th and three matches later at the Francisco Morazán stadium in Honduras she led with five goals the rout against the British Virgin Islands.

With this performance against the Virgin Islands, Lee became the second Cuban player capable of scoring on five occasions in a single match with the Cuban national team.

Furthermore, the top scorer from the largest of the Antilles appears second among the leading scorers, behind Yessenia Flores, from Nicaragua, author of one goal in the 2-1 loss against Trinidad and Tobago and six in the 19-0 victory over the Turks and Caicos Islands.

Lee and Cuba's squad will return to action in the Concacaf qualifying round in the month of April against Honduras (Friday the 8th) and Haiti (Tuesday the 12th) as part of Group E.

In this first stage of the qualifying round, 30 national teams participate, divided into six groups of five teams and the winners of each group will advance to the Concacaf Championship phase in July, along with the United States and Canada.
