Gente de Zona released "Nadie Se Murió" ("Nobody Died") on October 15, a duet with Venezuelan singer-songwriter Elena Rose and the second single from Isla Viva, the upcoming album from Alexander Delgado and Randy Malcom slated for 2027. The track is out now on streaming platforms, according to an announcement from the duo's label, GDZ Records, issued in Miami.

Built from scratch in the studio with producer Ángel "Pututi" Arce, the song moves through three chapters of Cuban popular music: it opens as a son montuno, shifts into salsa with a timba edge and closes with the drive of a conga santiaguera. The message, the duo says, is that heartbreak doesn't kill you and you get back up and try again. "That was the moment we realized Elena can sing whatever she wants," Randy said.

It is their first collaboration as performers, but not their first time working together: Elena Rose wrote "Muchacha," one of Gente de Zona's biggest hits. "We've known Elena since she was around 18 or 20 years old," Randy said. Rose, a 2026 Latin Grammy nominee for Record of the Year, recalled listening to Gente de Zona and Pitbull in Miami while working night shifts after she first arrived in the U.S., and called the duet a dream come true.

The release lands at a good moment for the Cuban duo, who are finalists at the 2026 Billboard Latin Music Awards for Latin Rhythm Artist of the Year, Duo or Group. Isla Viva's first preview was the title track with Juan Magán, and the Isla Viva Tour comes to Miami's Kaseya Center on Friday, December 11, according to the arena's official calendar.
