Manuel de la C. Hevia Frasquieri, who was director of the Center for Historical Research of the State Security of the Ministry of the Interior, passed away in La Habana at the age of 75.
Also a contributor to Cubadebate, he was an author of research, articles and scientific-social essays related to political denunciation of the subversive actions of the United States government against Cuba and the terrorist mafia of Miami.
Among his notable texts are Guillermo Novo Sampoll: ¡Yo no soy un terrorista! and Pedro Crispín Remón Rodríguez: el sicario de la máscara negra, both included in the book Welcome Home, published by Editorial Capitán San Luis.
He is one of the authors of the books El gigante de las siete leguas, El rostro oculto de la CIA. Antesala de Playa Girón and Los intentos de desmontaje del socialismo en Cuba. Un análisis crítico from the same publishing house and the multimedia productions Cuba acusa and Operación Mangosta.
A rescuer of the memory of the combatants of State Security against the empire, he participated in various Round Tables on the subject.
