Dies in Havana Professor Ubaldo Farnot Master of Latin American Gynecology and Obstetrics

On the night of September 23rd, the Doctor of Medical Sciences, Full Professor and Consultant in Gynecology and Obstetrics, Master of Latin American Gynecology and Obstetrics, Dr. Ubaldo Farnot Cardoso passed away.

Professor Farnot was an example, throughout his fruitful 94 years of life, of dedication and commitment to the profession and specialty that constituted the vocation of service of his life in the interest of the health and happiness of Cuban women and their families.

His kind generosity, his spirit of help, of being part of the solutions to the multiple and complex problems faced by human beings and sexual and reproductive health, found in him a tireless fighter.

He represented Cuban Gynecology and Obstetrics at multiple international events and was part of Scientific Working Groups in the World Health Organization.

He was author and coauthor of multiple textbooks for undergraduate and postgraduate study of the subject, hundreds of scientific papers, member of the Commission on Scientific Degrees, President or Secretary of multiple examination boards for Specialists of 1st and 2nd degrees, and a helping hand, always willing to give valuable professional or personal advice whenever requested.

Cuban obstetrics and gynecology loses one of its greatest and most significant bastions.
