Scientist from Villa Clara Angel Quirós Espinosa Dies

In Villa Clara, the unfortunate news of the death from COVID 19 of Doctor of Sciences Ángel Quirós Espinosa was reported over the weekend, considered one of the most recognized scientists in Villa Clara.

Through the Facebook page 'Naturaleza Secreta' they confirm the unfortunate news and explain that the marine biologist lost the battle against the terrible disease.

On the other hand, they assure that the departure of Quirós Espinosa leaves a deep pain, while at the same time they acknowledged that his work and knowledge were fundamental in the construction of the Cayo Santa María causeway.

Quirós Espinosa was Director of Los Caimanes National Park, a protected area to whose creation and operation he dedicated all his enthusiasm and ability, and specialist for many years of the Center for Environmental Studies and Services of Villa Clara (#CESAM), Quirós was one of the top Cuban personalities in the study and management of natural resources.
