Fabién Laurencio sends message of gratitude to the Cuban people

Young Cuban model Fabién Laurencio de la Concepción, winner of second place in the final of the Nuestra Belleza Latina 2021 pageant, thanked the Cuban people for the support she received during the competition.

"I want to first thank everyone who supported me on this adventure. It wasn't easy, but I felt the support always. Thank you Cuba. Thank you to my family. Thank you to all the Latinos who felt identified with me, at the end of the day, that's the only thing that matters," she wrote.

Likewise, she expressed how proud she is to be Cuban and assured that she managed to win over the audience, which was what she really wanted.

"We are what we reflect in others, what others feel when they meet us, listen to us or look us directly in the eyes; we are what is felt when we know how to fill a place with our essence, even if it's small," she said.

"We are what remains of us in the hearts of those we get to know on this adventure that many call life. Infinite Thanks to everyone for your unconditional support," she added.

Before concluding after her return to social media, she made clear that Cuba will always be with her: "I feel happy, very happy to have you in my life and for you to feel identified with me. That satisfaction is the only Crown that I wanted to receive and not on my head but in my heart. I am proudly Cuban and Cuba will go with me hand in hand always."
