The emblematic Cuban orchestra Los Van Van got thousands of people dancing until the early hours of today at the Grand Timba Festival in the context of the Cali Fair.
With well-known numbers and other more recent ones, the people of Cali not only moved to the beat of the peculiar sound of "El tren de Cuba," as this group founded by Juan Formell is also known, but they also sang along to each one of their songs as usually happens in this city with all Cuban music.
Those who attended the great concert also enjoyed the improvisations of their singers, who use mischievousness, irony and customs, and let themselves be carried away by the choruses, hand clapping and passages.
They also enjoyed the powerful voice of the interpreter, who showed her talent also in the choruses and dancing.
The concert took place in the context of the Salsera Verbena of the East, during the second day of the Cali Fair and was broadcast live by the local channel Telepacífico.
On the roster of the Grand Timba Festival were also Real Black, Son 21, La 16 Orquesta, Mauro Castillo, as well as Cuban singers Pedrito Calvo and Mayito Rivera, who also left their mark on Los Van Van.
