Yare Santana

Yare is an actress born in Matanzas who studied and graduated in acting from the National School of Art (ENA) in Havana in 2012. Her thesis was based on the novel Santa María del Porvenir with the character of Maripepa.

Before deciding on acting, she took ballet and music classes. Later she trained in rhythmic gymnastics, and afterward practiced taekwondo, but since she was so thin she did not compete. She believes her unfinished business is ballet, and says she has a hidden dancer inside.

Her first television appearance was in the program "Quédate conmigo" on TeleCentro de Matanzas where she worked for 2 years.

After finishing her studies, she worked as a professor at ENA and also in theatrical productions, among which stand out: "La moza del cántaro", "El rey Lear", "Las cuñadas" and "La Gaviota".

She also ventured into Cuban television. In 2011 she became part of the telenovela "Santa María del Porvenir", where she played the character of Maripepa, and three years later she participated in the dramatized series "Cuando el amor no alcanza" playing the character of Laritza, a teenage preuniversity student with very strong family conflicts and a rebelliousness just beneath the surface, with which she touched many hearts.

In 2015 Yare decides to emigrate to Mexico and begins studying at Televisa's Center for Artistic Education (CEA), and since then her career has not stopped rising. In 2017 she was included in the cast of the series "El Vuelo de Victoria". Two years later she would become part of the programs "El Dragón: El regreso de un guerrero" and "Se rentan cuartos".

Recently in "Como caído del cielo", a Netflix film, the Cuban actress shares scenes with popular Mexican actors Omar Chaparro and Ana Claudia Talancón. The fiction film, directed by Pepe Bojórquez, brings Infante back to life in the body of an impersonator, so that he can redeem himself from his infidelities and manage to enter paradise after a limbo of more than 60 years.

At 26 years old, this young Cuban woman is full of aspirations and determination to succeed. Her professional life is barely beginning, but she is on the right track and at an excellent pace. The passion with which she undertakes each project that her career demands of her augurs a lasting and great success.
