Cuban actress Yare Santana acts in the third season of "Se rentan cuartos"

Cuban actress Yare Santana is promoting the third season of the successful Comedy Central series "Se rentan cuartos", where she plays the character of Estefanía «Stef» Garza de la Garza y Más Garza, daughter of Graciela Garza de la Garza y Más Garza, played by Itatí Cantoral.

The actress began her artistic career at age 8 in a children's theater company, later studying at the National School of Art in Cuba, specializing in Theater for 4 years. In her native Cuba, she participated in several theatrical productions, among which stand out "La moza del cántaro", "El rey Lear", "Las cuñadas", and "La Gaviota", by Antón Chejov.

A year after arriving in Mexico, she began studies at Televisa's Center for Artistic Education (CEA), having the opportunity to participate in productions such as "El Dragón: El regreso de un guerrero", "Como caídos del cielo", productions for Netflix, as well as "Sin miedo a la verdad", "El vuelo de Victoria", "La reina soy yo" and currently in the series "Se rentan cuartos".

"Mexico and Cuba have a cultural bond of many years, there has always been a very close tie and Mexicans love us Cubans very much and welcome us as part of the family and I feel practically Mexican and I have had the fortune of having a very good response from the Mexican public and also being able to work here, it has gone quite well for me", Yare commented for El Sol de Hermosillo.

Her character in "Se rentan cuartos" has been part of the main cast since the first season and in each episode you can see a special guest.

The story deals with a wealthy family that ends up bankrupt and after rejection from their social circle they start a new life taking refuge in the only property they have left, a large old house in a popular neighborhood in Mexico City, where Graciela's half-brother lives and they begin to coexist.

The family is made up of Graciela (Itatí Cantoral), "Bobby" (Paco Rueda), "Stef" (Yare Santana), both children of Graciela, and now «Pepenacho» (Armando Hernández), Graciela's half-brother, who decided to rent out the rooms in the house as a source of income.

"'Stefi' is Graciela's daughter and she is a super naive girl with an enormous heart, in love with life and always positive, there's a saying that goes 'always positive, never imposing', she is very honest and lives like in her own bubble, for her everything is rosy, she is super preppy, she is the contrast of this new life she has to live, of these new characters that appear in her life and how she adapts, I really have a lot of affection for this character", Yare said.

The first season premiered on October 13, 2019 and was one of the best Comedy Central premieres in Mexico and the rest of Latin America. The first two seasons are available on the Paramount+ platform.

For this new season, the production created two spin-offs of the series titled "El diario de Shantalle" with María Chacón and "Siempre pobres, nunca impobres", available on the YouTube platform.
