Raúl Iglesias

He was born in La Habana.

He completed his musical studies at the Municipal Conservatory of La Habana (currently, Amadeo Roldán) and at the Budapest Conservatory (1962-1968).

He developed his musical life as a concert pianist, participating in numerous concerts with Cuban symphony orchestras. He also stood out as an accompanist pianist for prominent Cuban and foreign vocal performers.

He was also a repertoire pianist for the vocal studies department of the Instituto Superior de Arte and the Estudio Lírico de La Habana, in 1987.

Raúl Iglesias died in his native city on September 24, 2004.
