Karla Vicens

Cuban musician, actress, and singer, former member of the Vocal Quartet "Sexto Sentido".

Karla began her artistic training at age 7 at the music conservatory specializing in piano for a period of 12 years, completing these studies at the Amadeo Roldán Conservatory in Havana.

At the same time, she began her dance training doing various intensives with the Pro-danza Company (Ballet of Cuba) and also with professor and dancer Rosa Elena Álvarez, being part of the Dance Theater Company (Neo Tango) directed by Mario Balmaseda and Rosa Elena Álvarez as an actress, tango dancer, and singer.

Later she entered the Higher Institute of Art to begin her training in Acting, graduating in the career of Dramatic Arts.

In parallel, she carried out her artistic career as a member of the Vocal Quartet "Sexto Sentido," known internationally and considered ambassadors of music in Cuba, sponsored by maestro Chucho Valdés.

She also combined her musical career with theatrical work, with Cuba's musical theater company "Musical Habana" performing various characters in national productions.

Once she completed her university studies, she made her debut as an actress on Cuban television, performing one of the co-starring characters in the Series Zoológico.

From that moment on, she had an active career for 6 consecutive years on television, eventually having her own program as a presenter on Cuban television until early 2018 when she decided to move to Spain.

She began her career as a solo singer in Cuba in 2017, winning the Cuerda Viva Prize in 2018.

Once settled in Spain, she began her studies for the Official Master's in Acting for Film, Theater, and Television at Rey Juan Carlos University in Madrid, where she had the opportunity to work with directors such as: Javier Fesser, Eduardo Chapero Jackson, Manuel Carrasco.

She continues her musical training in vocal specialization at the MEV singing school with Julia Möller, Ramsés Vollbrecht, and José Masegosa, the latter being her tutor for the Master's in Singing Pedagogy Mev in the 2021 edition.
