Herón Vega Granados

Cuban film and television actor. He is one of the three children of actress Daisy Granados and filmmaker Pastor Vega.

He began his artistic career as a child (6 years old) in the film Retrato de Teresa (1979), directed by his father, filmmaker Pastor Vega, with the leading performance of his mother, Daisy Granados, an emblematic actress of Cuban cinema.

He has worked in telenovelas and television series, among them: El balcón de los helechos (telenovela, 2005), ¡Oh, La Habana! (telenovela, 2007), Polvo en el viento (telenovela, 2008) and Tú en el personaje de Manolo (telenovela, 2021).

His career has focused on the interpretation of secondary roles, both dramatic and humorous.

The fiction short film Video de familia (2001, dir. Humberto Padrón), in which he convincingly and with great emotional force interprets an alcoholic son, obtained important awards, among them: 2001- Coral Prize for Best Fiction Short and El Mégano Prize, awarded by the National Federation of Film Clubs of Cuba at the International Festival of New Latin American Cinema, Havana; Grand Prize of Cuban Film Critics for best national film; 2002- Prize for best short film at the Latino Film Festival in Los Angeles, United States.
