Héctor Noas

Cuban actor who has resided in Spain since 1999. He holds a degree in Performing Arts with a specialization in Acting from the Instituto Superior de Artes de la Habana and graduated with a Gold Medal and Diploma of Honor.

After graduating as a high-altitude pilot from the Naval Academy (Mariel) to please his family, he subsequently began seeking ways to pursue his true vocation: acting.

He was an extra in one of the most complex Cuban productions, Cecilia, directed by Humberto Solás. He then worked for three years in the acting workshop directed by filmmaker Enrique Pineda Barnet and completed his professional training by graduating as an actor from the Instituto Superior de Arte.

He has developed an extensive career spanning radio, film, television, and theater.

Important productions such as The Seagull by Anton Chekhov, Love Stories by Tony Cabré, Misery by Stephen King, Caligula by Albert Camus, and The Public by Federico García Lorca, among others, have featured his participation.

He has been a presenter at events such as: the International Latin American Film Festival, Cubamoda Internacional, Festival Cine - Plaza, National Theater Prize 2001 and 2004, and the "GRAMMY" Awards at the Palacio de Convenciones de la Habana (1991). He has worked as a radio actor, lent his voice to the Habana Club campaign, and has also provided voice-overs for various documentaries.

On the other hand, he has served as a professor in various Acting and Acting Direction workshops at the Escuela de Cine de Galicia.

Nominated for the Caricato Awards as Best Film Actor for his work in the film La Pared by Alejandro Gil in 2006, he subsequently won it for his performance in Los dioses rotos by Ernesto Daranas. In December 2011 he premiered his film Verde Verde under the direction of acclaimed filmmaker Enrique Pineda Barnet, who won the Goya for his film La bella del Alhambra as Best Foreign Film in 1990. He was nominated for Best Film Actor for this role, winning it at the Rainbow Festival in Ceará, Brazil. He won the Caricato Award for Best Lead Actor in Theater in 2015 for the role of Mikhail Astrov in the play Uncle Vanya by Chekhov under the direction of Carlos Celdrán.
