She was born in the province of Santiago de Cuba and graduated from the Instituto Superior de Arte in 2007. She has worked in acting in national and foreign productions, soap operas, films, and hosting television programs.
Edenis's first steps as an actress are well known to the Cuban public with the character of Alelí in the soap opera Al compás del Son in 2005, the first major role that came her way, which marked her life and with which she won the Caricato Award for best female performance.
She worked in feature films and national and foreign series such as: the Cuban-Italian La noche de los inocentes 2007, the British El día de las flores 2012, the German Landgericht 2017, SOS Academia and Rompiendo el silencio, as well as the soap operas Playa Leonora, 2004 and La sal del paraíso, she was a guest actress in the American series House of lies.
She has also worked in the presentation and hosting of cultural events, live shows, and television programs.
She is the founder of programs such as Secuencia, Clip, Somos Caribe, aimed at the development and promotion of contemporary Cuban film, music, and art.
She began with Conexión, the first educational music program dedicated to Cuban teenagers and young people, broadcast nationwide. She has also been the host of Así se hace, the newscast of the International Festival of New Latin American Cinema, the Habano Festival, and Piso 6, since 2009.
She worked as an advertising model and starred in social awareness campaigns against violence toward women; she has produced more than 15 promotional videos, for which she won a Lucas Award in 2008.
She was an actress in the popular theatrical production Farándula. She has collaborated with Germany, Italy, and Chile, where she currently lives, and had the opportunity to develop another facet of her life: instruction; she is an acting coach at an agency dedicated to the preparation of actors, actresses, and models who are just beginning.
She also enjoys other aspects of art such as developing artistic projects, creating content for social media, and directing her own projects. She is the producer and creator of the ROX950 brand, directing photo sessions, videos, and everything related to that brand's 8th anniversary.
She is focused on launching her clothing line dedicated to maternity and the postpartum stage: Eden.
In 2022 she opened her store Bazar Edén 21. "What satisfies me I share here with discounts," this is how the Cuban woman presents this space. The first piece she put up for sale was an animal print coat. A piece that has accompanied her in modeling, filming, and travels around the world.
In addition to this business venture, Edenis Sánchez has worked in Chile with brands such as Falabella and Devigili Store, and also mentioned in an Instagram live that she had recorded a program with Canal 13.
Also in this Latin American country, the Cuban woman has developed her facet as a cultural manager. There she produces, at the Chipe Libre restaurant, the day of Latin jazz, with genres such as salsa, rumba, and jazz.
