Claudia Alvariño's Confessions
La Colmenita
La Colmenita is my life, it is the place where I am always absolutely happy, where I grew up, where my aunts, cousins, siblings, and friends are, those people one loves the most in life. More than a Theater Company, it is my home. I joined La Colmenita from a very young age. This has been the best acting school for me, thanks to it, I wanted to enter the National School of Art. I have never seen La Colmenita as a job, only as fun, a healthy space, my home.
Habanastation
It is the first time I make a film, and the truth is it is a privilege, because very little cinema is made in Cuba. It has nothing to do with theater and television, they are different readings, all the gestures have to be made smaller. I had so much fun making it, it was very nice working with Ernestico and Andy, children I have known since they were very small. And we managed a great work team, both the technicians and the actors.
Professional Future
To work a lot, to continue in my theater group La Colmenita, where I am immensely happy surrounded by children, that fascinates me and if another film comes along, well even better!.
