Cuban designated hitter Yordan Álvarez hit his 38th home run of the season on Sunday, September 6, 2026, surpassing his own personal single-season best of 37 home runs, set in 2022 with the Houston Astros. The Las Tunas native reached the milestone as his team picked up the win.
