After a year of intense work and dedication on one of his biggest projects, William Levy has finally made a dream come true: returning to the "big screen".
The news was disclosed by the actor himself through his social media when he shared the trailer for his film "In the Arms of a Killer".
The film based on the book Killing Sarai by J.A. Redmerski, was written and produced by the Cuban-origin actor along with Jeff Goldberg and directed by Matias Moltrasio.
The movie tells the story of Víctor (William Levy) a handsome and seductive man who leads a double life as a hired assassin. One day, while the assassin is visiting the house of a feared drug trafficker due to a debt they have, he meets Sarai (Alicia Sanz), and discovers that she has been kidnapped for years.
When Victor is ready to leave, she hides in the trunk of his car hoping to escape, but his plans are frustrated, so he did not achieve his objective and on the contrary finds himself caught up in a war of power and passion.
The film will premiere on December 6th and also features performances by Adrián Lastra, Roberto Sosa, Ettore D'Alessandro, and Jean Jean.
William, satisfied and excited about his film's trailer, sent along with it a message of gratitude to everyone who in one way or another participated in this project.
"Very excited to finally be able to share with you the trailer of my new film 'In the Arms of a Killer' based on the book Killing Sarai written by J.A. Redmerski".
"I want to thank everyone who was part of this great cast, everyone who was part of this great production who gave their best to make this dream possible. Thanks to all our partners for trusting us," Levy said.
The actor also expressed that with this film he aims to exalt Latin roots and bring the magic of cinema to the Hispanic community.
"This film marks the first step toward a vision that I am very excited about - creating more opportunities for Latinos in film and television and bringing our Hispanic audience films in our language. I love you. I thank you for all the affection you have always shown me. This is for you," William stated.
With this new release and the upcoming opening of his new Level29 restaurant, William Levy silences the rumors that a few months ago were circulating on social media, where it was said that the Cuban actor could be going through a severe economic crisis.
On the program Suelta la Sopa (Telemundo) it was commented that the cause of his supposed crisis was due to the few contracts the artist has had in the United States. However, journalist Luis Alfonso Borrego, who is part of the television show, affirmed that he had an encounter with William and that he had flatly denied those speculations.
