Cuban actress Jacqueline Diana Jacqueline Farré, 51 years old, revolutionized social media last Tuesday after sharing with her more than 43 thousand followers one of her least known facets: modeling.
Apparently, the playwright—immortalized in the minds of islanders for her role as Verena Contreras in the telenovela "Tierra brava"—put herself in the hands of several professional photographers to bring to light her most sensual and wild side.
Given how multifaceted Jacqueline has always been, it is no surprise then that each of the snapshots is "pure art."
In one of the photos, created by Luis Funes, the Cuban woman appears dressed in the purest style of the 1920s, with a sexy black dress, matching gloves, cigarette in hand, and an exuberant pearl necklace.
While in a second portrait, photographer Pablo Moreira places the acclaimed actress in a much more exotic setting. To the surprise and delight of the artist's followers, Arenal appears with her face surrounded by a serpent and accompanied by makeup that highlights her expressive green eyes.
"Pride makes us artificial and humility makes us real," Moreira wrote about the work.
"This phrase describes perfectly this excellent actress and great woman. Thank you once again Jacqueline Arenal for being so humble, having that immense heart and showing me that if you help others grow every day you will become greater, My respect and admiration."
Jacqueline, daughter of the late playwright and writer Humberto Arenal and actress Martha Farre, is one of the most well-known Cuban faces, both in film and television. Her passion for acting came from when she was very young.
After graduating in 1990 from Cuba's Instituto Superior de Arte (ISA), she participated in several dramatizations. Two of her most memorable roles were: Verena in "Tierra Brava" and Doctor Marcia in "Si me pudieras querer." Some of her cinematographic works include: "Plaff o Demasiado miedo a la vida," "El siglo de las luces," "Belmonte," "Un paraíso bajo las estrellas," "Miradas," "El misterio de Galíndez," and "¿La vida en rosa?"
In 2005, she was selected in Havana by Colombian channel RCN Televisión to travel to Bogotá and play the antagonist in the series "Los reyes." Since then, she has resided in the South American nation where she has also continued her career as an actress.
"The most beautiful of beautiful Cuban actresses"; "How beautiful, my dear Jacque!"; "Oh no! How nerve-wracking, excellent actress"; "Beautiful as always," some of her followers said.
