Casa de las Américas de Cuba once again becomes a home to exquisite harmonies, this time with a concert next Friday by Cuban singer-songwriter Liuba María Hevia, who will present her new album Canciones que no se extraviaron.
The Sala Che Guevara of the Havana cultural institution will host the musicality of the performer, who assured in an interview that it is a group of songs with very diverse destinations but that she had never recorded and have finally found their home.
The title of her recent album "paraphrases the great Dulce María Loynaz, Cervantes Prize winner, in her book Cartas que no se extraviaron, as a tribute to her."
The singer-songwriter, member of the worldwide known movement as Nueva Trova Cubana, offers in the album a journey through 12 themes: Certeza, Luna del 64, Con un ramito de mejorana, Tristeza, El mapa de mis canciones, Mi colibrí, Vidas paralelas, Pasaba un ángel, En octosílabo infinito, Será porque diciembre, Tantas vidas, and Tristeza (Versión).
The recital, scheduled for 18:00, local time, is part of the ninth Encuentro Alma Creadora program, a project created and led by the artist, owner of an extensive discography that includes, among several titles, Vidas Paralelas (2017), Entre locos bajitos (2018) and Para volverte a ver (2022).
