Through social media, the unfortunate news of the death of young Cuban footballer Dairon Blanco has been spread, who died on November 16th in a traffic accident.
This was announced by sports journalist Gretel Yanet Tamayo in a Facebook post:
"A great loss for Tunas football: Dairon Blanco has died in a traffic accident. A young life is gone and Amancio and Las Tunas are in mourning. RIP", expressed the reporter.
In the comments of the post, messages from sports followers and friends of the young man, a native of Las Tunas, were not long in coming.
"I have no words to be able to say what I feel right now at this moment…My life may God have you in glory and may you rest in peace. Why you. Why always the people that one loves….We will never forget you. We love you very much all of us who knew you because you were special, unique", said internet user Ade Hechavarría.
Likewise, user Angelina Ruíz highlighted: "There are no words to describe what many of us feel today because it was a great loss rest in peace fly high your friends will remember you as always with a big smile and with your desire to move forward with your dreams and goals that you achieved".
Dairon Blanco, a footballer for Cuba's national soccer team, who played as a midfielder, died this Monday as a result of a traffic accident, according to sports media on the island.
Dairon Blanco, 28 years old, had a distinguished career in the Cuban national team in competitions such as the sub-17 and sub-20 pre-world tournaments.
The young footballer played for the team from the eastern province of Las Tunas during seven domestic championships and in the sub-23 category he competed in the Guadalajara 2011 Pan American Games and in the Olympic qualifying tournament.
Blanco was called up in several call-ups to the Cuban national team, participants in two editions of the Gold Cup and in the qualifying round for Brazil 2014.
"This irreparable loss represents a hard blow for Caribbean football and generates sorrow in the sports movement in general", stated the Jit portal, a publication of the National Institute of Sports, Physical Education and Recreation (Inder) of the island.
