Singer and songwriter Leoni Torres will undertake a major tour of cities in the western United States during the months of August and September, which will have closing concerts in February of next year.
The Cuban is one of the most popular artists in Cuba, and one of the few who have embarked on such an extensive tour following the cooling of relations between the governments of both countries, in his case thanks to the support of Live Nation, the company coordinating the tour.
Leoni announced that his new journey through the United States, "Amor Bonito Tour" will begin on August 23 next in San Diego (California) and will extend into September, before a break to conclude with three performances in February 2020.
"It would be a pleasure to be able to share and sing for you, so I love you very much and I hope to see you," Torres said in a video published on social media.
Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Chicago, Houston, Dallas, New Jersey, Charlotte, Atlanta, Orlando, Fort Lauderdale are other stops on the tour, concluding this first part in Tampa, where he will perform on September 22 at the Ritz Ybor. Miami Beach will wait until February 13, 14 and 16, 2020 to host the "Amor Bonito Tour" at The Fillmore.
The concerts will review his well-known songs including "Se me olvidó quererte," "Me quedo contigo" and "Las cosas que te pido," as well as new material.
Leoni Torres has stood out in salsa, romantic ballads and even with ventures into pop and urban genre. He is the author of "No puedo parar," the single he released in late 2018 in collaboration with Puerto Rican Gilberto Santa Rosa, and the successful hit "Traidora," performed by Puerto Rican Marc Anthony and the reggaeton duo Gente de Zona.
Precisely with Gente de Zona, one of Cuba's major urban exponents, Torres released the music video "Mejor sin ti," already with more than one million 300,000 views on YouTube.
