The double album (CD-DVD) "Aunt Rosa of Songs," by the renowned singer-songwriter Rosa Campos, is now available to the public under the Bis Music record label.

The material, recorded at a concert in the theater of the National Museum of Fine Arts, contains 15 songs that were part of the soundtrack for several generations of Cubans, among which stand out Happy Dawn; Chivirico Rico; Kings of Son; M with A, N with I ...Peanut; For the Sake of Life, among others.

With the special participation of the Diminuto Choir led by maestro Carmen Rosa López, the musical direction of Lino Lores and the audiovisual direction of José Manuel García, this CD-DVD was recorded with live music and acoustic instruments.

According to José Manuel, the intention from the very beginning was to achieve that the Cuban essence that Rosa's songs possess, which traverse different genres such as son, chachachá and conga, would be reinforced with the sound of live instruments.

This became a reality, he said, thanks to the admirable orchestration work carried out by Lores and to the sound recording, mixing and mastering by Daniel Legón Campo.

García also highlighted the quality of Aunt Rosa's compositions, for their great artistic value and the success they enjoy, and recalled that Bis Music is honored to treasure her entire discography made up of 4 original albums and several compilations.

The protagonist of this record release mentioned that each song on the album is accompanied by a poem and a visual work, created by artists from Cienfuegos, who were inspired by the lyrics of the 15 songs to bring their works to life.

They are "true works of art," Rosa said while thanking them for that gift.

The live concert of the double album Aunt Rosa of Songs was recently premiered on the Bis Music record label's YouTube channel.

Rosa Campos, who decided to live and create her work from Cienfuegos, holds various awards such as Cubadisco 2000 for her CD Happy Dawn, an award she obtained again in 2003 with Parampampín: Aunt Rosa and in 2012 with Trocacuentos.

Aunt Rosa, as she is affectionately called, "not only sings for children and works with them, but helps them become more cultured and therefore more free, she is one of the most extraordinary symbols our nation has, because when one hears any of her songs, one feels Cuba," thus defined her pianist Frank Fernández in the documentary I Was in Search of a Rose, but… I Found an Aunt, by filmmaker Yusi Padrón.

In the same audiovisual material, singer-songwriter Liuba Maria Hevia said that "she manages to make each day a celebration, her face deserves to be close to people, because she is always near giving music made from the heart."
