"Let Them Talk," that's what Cuban singer Laritza Bacallao called her second album, which premieres this week and connects with the best of danceable popular music on the Island.
The new album marks the beginning of Bacallao's work with the record label Puntilla Music, established in Miami, and continues the path set by "Solo se vive una vez," recorded with Planet Record, a record label oriented especially toward the promotion of urban music.
Seven years later, the new album hopes to follow in the footsteps of its predecessor's successes. For Laritza it represents, in a certain way, a milestone of maturity after two decades of career. In her Facebook profile she assured that she is preparing new projects while focusing on the promotion of "Que hablen," which, according to her, is a surprise for all her admirers.
The singer has obtained different national and international awards. In 2015 she was nominated in the Youth Revelation category at the Premios Juventud, awarded annually by the American network Univisión. Furthermore, she has earned the favor of the public during her tours through Europe, the United States, and Latin America. Within the Island, she has worked with Paulo FG, Cándido Fabré and JG, as well as with Osmani García and the group Los 4, among other diverse artists of popular music and the urban genre.
She participated in different editions of the Boleros de Oro Festivals in Cuba and various events that celebrate the best of Cuban music. In general terms, Bacallao alternates between popular music, urban genres, and other areas of music and succeeds. "Que hablen" is on its way to confirming it.
