The knee puts the Cuban Missile out of orbit. Things are getting complicated for the Yankees

August 23, 2018

Aroldis Chapman visited the doctor in Miami in the morning and in the afternoon his name appeared on the disabled list. The Yankees will have to continue their journey without their missile for a few days -there is talk of a couple of weeks- until his tendinitis improves in his left knee.

Since mid-May the speedster from Holguín had been suffering from some kind of discomfort, but the pain was bearable enough to allow him to work in the ninth innings for New York.

But on Tuesday night he couldn't take it anymore and left the game against the Marlins in Miami after six pitches and a walk to join other important Yankees players away from the field due to health issues.

On Tuesday afternoon the press was able to speak with Chapman -about his career and his life brother Yordenis Ugás- without knowing that hours later he would be removed from the Bombers' roster.
