Still unable to complete the game, Cuban Jasiel Rivero increased several personal averages during day 30 of the Endesa League basketball tournament in Spain.
The Caribbean player left the court due to five fouls committed, so he only played 22:49 minutes in the match where his team Hereda San Pablo Burgos lost 83-89 against Urbas Fuenlabrada, hosts at the Fernando Martín Pavilion.
Rivero with 15 points, seven rebounds and a rating of 15 credits raised his averages in those categories to 12.4, 5.6 and 14.6, respectively, after playing in 25 games.
In all three aspects he maintains positions of privilege among the best 20 players in a tournament considered the second highest quality in the world and which in its 19 teams integrates athletes from many countries.
The Havana forward-center also raised his effectiveness in two-point shots to 68.3 percent by scoring six out of eight attempts this Sunday. He is now eighth with the best shooting accuracy, making 99 of the 145 attempted.
This performance by the Castilians surely did not please coach Joan Peñarroya because the score dropped them to sixth place with a record of 17 wins and 10 losses, while the opponents are in 15th with only nine wins and 20 losses.
In the previous encounter at their Coliseum, Burgos was beaten by those from the Madrid metropolitan area with a score of 99-78 on November 1st.
This time the hosts had the advantage the entire game by quarters of 20-19, 13-11, 22-18 and 34-35, led offensively by Brazilian Leo Meindl with 20 points.
The upcoming match for the Burgos team will be on the 14th against Acunsa GBC (6-22), located in last place.
