The Latino Institute of Music (ILM) will premiere in November of this year Alicia's Fantasy, a work composed for violin and orchestra by Daniel Martin Subiaut, president of the aforementioned institution and the Premio Batuta Organization.

The piece will be premiered in Cuba by the award-winning Ecuadorian violinist and maestro Jorge Saade, who will perform it during his world tour next year on stages such as the Royal Festival Hall in London, the Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires, Carnegie Hall in New York, and the Sydney Opera House in Australia.

To compose Alicia's Fantasy, Daniel Martin Subiaut said he was inspired by what he felt he visualized the Prima Ballerina Assoluta experiencing while dancing without seeing, an act of love, faith, courage, and dedication. His work, as a sonata, goes through several movements and colors, he advanced.

The ILM president said that the musical piece is another gift for the centennial of Alicia Alonso and that of the institute, and that he hopes that one day it can be danced by the National Ballet of Cuba.

"In this way," he affirms, "Alicia Alonso will continue dancing in the imagination while 'Alicia's Fantasy' sounds in the greatest stages of the five continents since the fall of 2021."
