Cuban singer Haila María Mompié took the stage on Friday, October 10, 2026, at the Amphitheater of Havana’s Historic Center for a concert that moved through son, salsa, timba, guaracha and bolero with her orchestra, Juventud Rebelde reported. The open-air venue in Old Havana framed a show that also paid tribute to emblematic figures and bands of Cuban popular music.

Sharing the bill with the artist often called Cuba’s Diva were singers Vania Borges and Heidy Chapman, producer-musician Maikel Dinza — with whom Mompié is working on a new album — and Iván, Teresa’s son, known for his work with Manana Club, NG La Banda and Bamboleo. Dance company Tiempos Sabás joined the program, which honored the Sonora Matancera, Juan Formell, Paulo FG, Adalberto Álvarez and Irakere, plus songs from Bamboleo, the 1990s group where Mompié made her name.

The date was part of her October appearances at the Old Havana amphitheater: Radio Cadena Habana and Radio Coco had earlier previewed her run there with the same guest lineup. Born in Las Tunas and a solo star since 2001, Mompié remains one of the most visible voices in Cuban salsa and timba.
