The Cuban duo Gente De Zona has been chosen to reign over the Miami Carnival 2024, a milestone in the history of this annual celebration that honors the culture and art of the city. The designation was made official by the Kiwanis Club of Little Havana, organizer of the event.

Pablo Lau, president of the Kiwanis Club, at a press conference held at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, announced the selection and expressed his enthusiasm for choosing Alexander Delgado and Randy Malcom as carnival kings and recalled that Gente De Zona has won seven Latin Grammys and 12 Latin Billboards; as well as being the first Cuban duo to reach Billboard's Hot Latin Song chart.

At the press conference, Delgado and Malcom thanked the carnival organizers for this opportunity and said they were proud to be able to use their music to bring joy to the Cuban community in Miami.

The carnival poster for this edition is in the hands of young Colombian artist Daddy Doya, who has chosen a Caribbean aesthetic.

The Miami Carnival 2024 promises a month full of music, art, and culture, with a wide range of events for all tastes. The festival will officially begin on February 10 with the gala to crown Miss Miami Carnival 2024, at the Manuel Artime Theater, and will conclude a month later with the emblematic Calle Ocho Festival on March 10, where Gente De Zona will offer a special concert featuring several of their most popular songs and their new single "Por ahí".

Attendees of the Miami Carnival will be able to enjoy live music from a variety of local and international artists; exhibitions of paintings, crafts and photography and jewelry; food from different Latin countries; colorful parades and activities for the whole family. The Calle Ocho Festival, in Little Havana, will be the grand finale of the Miami Carnival 2024.

The Miami Carnival, the largest Latin celebration in the United States, is the annual major fundraiser of the Little Havana Kiwanis Club in support of the Kiwanis Foundation's youth development programs. It represents an economic impact of $40 million for artists, vendors and small local businesses and attracts an average of 1.5 million attendees each year.
