Followers of Cuban singer-songwriter Pablo Milanés can now enjoy the second single from his posthumous album, Amor y salsa 80 aniversario, which will be released on May 26.

It is "Años", popularly known as "El tiempo pasa", which the troubadour, who passed away in November of last year, performed alongside the emblematic Venezuelan singer Oscar D' León.

The masterful duet allows the public to delight in the two voices, combined in a version where the ballad gives way to son montuno and salsa, while the beautiful text by the Cuban is enriched with D' León's improvisations, who ends the song saying they are going to Cuba to guarachar, "to dance the guaracha, the columbia, the guaguancó and the rumba".

"Años", which originally belongs to the album No Me Pidas (1978), is one of Pablito's most well-known songs, and was already covered by Argentine Mercedes Sosa alongside its author for her memorable album Querido Pablo (1985).

Amor y salsa 80 aniversario features a total of 18 collaborations, plus two solo titles by Pablito.

Days ago, Día de Luz premiered, in collaboration with Juanes, composed by the Cuban troubadour in 2014.

The Colombian singer thanked Pablo for the opportunity to sing with him on this track and especially for being able to listen to him up close.

"Dear Pablo, to express to you how honored and happy I am to have been able to record this beautiful song with you that you wrote, to have connected with so many years, to have followed you, to have listened to you since I was very young, and to have been able to hear the track of your voice singing, your breathing there is beautiful. Thank you very much truly", is the emotional message from Juanes that appears in a video on Pablo Milanés' YouTube channel.

According to a post on Instagram announcing the premiere, the song "exalts the love of a couple that cares for and protects each other in their most private sphere, isolated from an unsafe world. A theme that musically was taken to the most authentic expression of traditional Cuban son for its stable rhythm and its delicate melodic designs typical of the style".

In addition to Oscar D' León and Juanes, this production includes Alejandro Sanz, Gilberto Santa Rosa, Andy Montañez, Diego Torres, Rosario, Ismael Miranda, Luis Enrique, La India, Francisco Céspedes, Ana Belén, El Canario, Aymée Nuviola and Gonzalo Rubalcaba, Yotuel, Caco Senante, Víctor Manuelle and Isaac Delgado.

Dagoberto González Jr., musical director and producer of the album, was in charge of making the arrangements to bring all the songs to the salsa genre.
